Internal reporting tool

Clearer decisions from Google Ads data.

Google Ads Campaign Audit Tool is a private command-line application used by its owner to analyze their own advertising account, identify inefficient spend, and create actionable audit reports.

What the tool does

The tool uses the Google Ads API to retrieve the account owner's last 30 and 90 days of performance data. It converts that data into Markdown and CSV reports for internal campaign review.

Account analysis

Reviews campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, assets, and conversion performance.

Performance metrics

Calculates CPA, ROAS, CTR, CPC, CVR, wasted spend, and budget pacing.

Recommendations

Flags anomalies and underperforming campaigns and suggests potential negative keywords for human review.

Purpose and data handling

This is an independently developed, non-public internal audit utility. It is not an advertising network, does not manage third-party accounts, and does not sell or share Google Ads data.

Read-only purposeGoogle Ads data is accessed for analysis and reporting. Recommendations are reviewed by a person before any account changes.
Owner-authorized accessOAuth is used to access only Google Ads accounts explicitly authorized by the tool owner.
Local outputReports are generated as local Markdown and CSV files. The public website does not receive or store advertising data.
Limited retentionExported files remain under the account owner's control and may be deleted at any time.

Business use case

The application automates recurring audits for an owned Google Ads account. Its purpose is to reduce manual spreadsheet work, surface performance risks, and help the owner make better budget and keyword decisions. It is currently for internal use and is not offered as a multi-user SaaS product.
